The course provides an introduction into 3d computer graphics using the 3D software MAYA. Topics include:

  • modelling
  • skeletons
  • animation
  • skinning
  • texturing
  • lights & rendering

The course consists of an introduction to maya and a practical project.

Examination Modalities

project (3d animation)


Profiency with computers, a notebook with preinstalled Maya, and a 3-button mouse are required.

If their is enough demand the course is held in English in the summer term

Number of participants is limited. Presence at the preliminary meeting on the 05.03.2019 14:00 is thus mandatory. Registering for the course can be done through email until (or personally at) the prelimary meeting.

Course takes place Thursdays between 14:00 - 17:00 starting with March, 7.
