Hybrid practices for digital  image creation – only tools?

In this seminar, a basic introduction to the use of various techniques to create immersive media formats will take place. The focus is on the practical experimentation and the artistic examination of the transformation processes and the hybridization of various imaging methods.

Simple exercises are used in order to apply and to implement complex visualization procedures. The goal is not only to get to know the respective tools, but also to analyze and to understand their mode of action in the context of artistic practices.

The course will feature the experimentation with 3D Scanning, Kinect, Motion Capture Suit, Vive Pro, Photogrammetry, and 3D (real-time and post-production) visualization in virtual space.
