Beschreibung

Controlled Irrationality

The seminar investigates the logic of modern scientific thought and traditional teachings generally referred to as mythological and mystical. These different domains of knowledge co-exist with each other, however, each presents itself as an all-encompassing truth. With the help of the philosopher and biophysicist Henri Atlan the seminar aims at exemplifying "the kind of rationality or controlled irrationality at work in such traditional thinking." (Atlan, 1986, 1993)
