STUDIO WORK
The studio not only is the place of artistic production but is as well a space for conception, representation and the organisation of work. Thus it not only describes its architectural parameters but is the spatial depiction of working conditions. That is why the studio can be understood as a political space in which the role of authorship, models of participation or collective action can be negotiated anew. As a mystified place of artistic creation it can be the result of aesthetic design and therfore itself turn into the subject of artistic reflection. We will examine the interrelation between work space and living space up to the negation of space-related production and the declaration of the post-studio-era. Accompaning theoretical reflections we will do quite some studio-visits and finally adress your individual working conditions in order to create artistic work responsive to its place of creation.
