In the course we will deal with basic artistic strategies like abstraction, ambiguity, alienation, destruction or performativity. This includes the confrontation with differences and similarities between art, science and humanities, as well as with selected examples of artistic and cross-disciplinary work.

Theoretical input will alternate with practical work in form of students' presentations and group projects.

Additionally, excursions and exhibition visits are planned.

2 Realization of an artistically based project in the frame of the course
3 Group presentation on a chosen topic on 19th January 09:15–13:30.
