What are contemporary modes of media production within the department of Landschaftskunst? What are the artistic issues involving digital technology today? What about the historical traditions of the Aufschreibesysteme we work with?

The course conveys audio/video/computer competencies through practical training and theoretical examination, against the backdrop of analog-digital conversion processes.

The goal is to encourage and support „independent“ „creative“ practices by using and understanding digital media. The focus will foremost be on hands-on production, aesthetic articulation, some kind of critical thinking and maybe also a little bit of experimentation. Starting point will be the tools that are at hand, kind of everything but social media;

The vertices of this semester will be Memes, Masks and Muybridge.
