Description

Working with Available Light

This course provides a basic knowledge of light as an aesthetic tool for photographers.

Where there is shadow, there is light!? Throughout human evolution, we have learned to perceive space based upon the shadows created when light hits an object. In photography, we make use of this fact to create spatial image effects on two-dimensional surfaces. We explore how light behaves and how we can implement this knowledge in our photography. This class will focus on the use of photographic equipment such as filters, reflectors, proofs, and artificial light sources in combination with available light.

Examination Modalities

 Applied Project. Attendance is mandatory.
