Bewerer*innen wird nach erfolgreichem Abschluss des Auswahlverfahrens ein*e Betreuer*in mit künstlerischer Lehrbefugnis zugeteilt. Das Studium wird mit einer Thesis abgeschlossen, die aus einer künstlerischen Forschungsarbeit bzw. mehreren zusammenhängenden künstlerischen Projekten sowie einer Darstellung der gewonnen Erkenntnisse im Sinne einer reflexiven Dokumentation.
